Image confirmed to be production version of new roadster

Jaguar’s new F-Type roadster is set to debut next week at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Just one problem. The car has made its debut early, with several sites today showcasing an image of the convertible in the various forms it will be available.

What began as an innocent Facebook post on Chris Doane’s page turned into a bit of a kerfuffle, with Chris being asked to remove the photo from his page.

Jalopnik wrote about it also, with writer Travis Okulski reporting that Jaguar confirmed the photo “is not a render and that this is the car that will be debuting next week in Paris.”

The Car Fanatics Forum also wrote about it in a post, crediting Doane with the news.

I would venture to guess the photos origins are being examined at Jaguar headquarters.
