J-Lo perhaps started the trend that is Spanish lyrics in pop music that has recently skyrocketed. The 47-year-old pop diva is reminding us all of the importance of our Spanish classes in her newest single “Ni Tu Ni Yo,” meaning “Neither you nor I,” set to release on the Fourth of July. She announced the new album on social media, stating “Estrenando Nueva Música…” meaning “Premiering new music” with a picture of the new cover. This is sure to be a hit, as radios can’t seem to resist the sultry Spanish language in top 40 tunes.
The album art makes it hard to believe she is a day over 30, as she is wearing a gorgeous Michael Costello dress on a beach that enhances her “new music” glow on her skin. It is clearly influenced by 60’s fashion and makes her look effortlessly classy. The album is being produced by Marc Anthony, her husband, and features Gente de Zona, a Cuban reggaeton group.
