Comic Con 2013 this year seems very exiting and as anticipated, they certainly dropped some big news on Saturday.
Warner Brothers announced that for theMan of Steel sequel, it would be bringing the Justice League’s two favorite caped crusaders: Superman and Batman together finally.
more good news, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder will return to direct the epicness of the action flick and Superman actor Henry Cavill will also return for the sequel (of coarse), which is set for a summer 2015 release.
To date, Man of Steel has earned $630 million worldwide. Christopher Nolan’s last Batman flick Dark Knight Rises has surpassed the $1 billion mark. So in prediction, the two DC Comics forces will hopefully be Warner Brother’s answer to Marvel’s successful 2012 Avengers blockbuster, which raked in a little over $1.5 billion worldwide.
It is unknown yet if Christian Bale will reprise his role as Batman.
“It’s a torch that should be handed from one actor to another,” he told Entertainment Weekly of his Dark Knight role earlier this month.
“I’m so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can’t wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter,…..Let’s face it, it’s beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Superheroes in the world.” read a statement from Snyder.
