Alabama head coach Nick Saban is approaching a god like status in the south these days.  Another championship or two, and he might be able to run for president.

The AJC is reporting that during a recent visit to Ridgeland High School in Georgia, students and teachers alike broke down crying like someone would if they had just seen their favorite rock star.

Ridgeland football coach Mark Mariakis said it was quite a scene.

“Yes, it was unbelievable.”

“Once one kid or teacher saw him, the text messages and tweets started flying. The next thing you know, little heads are poking outside of classrooms. And it was hard to tell the kids not to come out and get autographs when the teachers were coming out and getting autographs.”

Saban was at Ridgeland to pay a visit to 5 star and possible Alabama recruit Vonn Bell.
