Greg Oden signed with the Miami Heat earlier this week. . Oden, who hasn’t played in an NBA game since December 2009 because of knee injuries, joins a team that has won back to back championships in the past two years. Oden was working out for a couple of teams besides Miami. They were the San Antonio, Dallas, New Orleans, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks, but Oden chose the Heat. Oden will make $1.027 million next season. If he picks up his player option in 2014-15, he will earn $1.145 million. With the addition of adding Oden that means Chris Bosh can play PF. Oden if healthy enough could possibly lead the Heat to another championship. Oden at the age of 25, has played only 82 games in his NBA career. The Portland Trailblazers picked Oden over Kevin Durant in the 2007 draft.
