The words “Damn Daniel” have been said by almost everybody in America this week, and this is a direct result of two teenagers, Josh Holz and Daniel Lara, who inadvertently created a viral video. Holz and Lara, both high schoolers from Riverside, California, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, and Daniel received a gift that would literally last him a lifetime.

The Interview, which will air today, shows both Josh and Daniel clarifying how the video came to be such a hit. Josh would post Snapchats of Daniel’s outfits, and it took off from that point.
Holz was given a custom surfboard personally from Ellen, which is without a doubt more pleasant than the “swatting” he got yesterday.
