It’s only been 15 years since the last xXx movie made its box office debut but Vin Diesel is ready to step back into his role. For the most part, Vin has been keeping busy. In the hiatus, there was a sequel which found a new lead in Ice Cube, but Diesel’s back for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Audiences will yet again be able to relive the Xander zone once more in 2017, Paramount Pictures has announced. Diesel will be crushing the box office next year(2017) with Furious 8, the first film of the final trilogy, premiering April 14, 2017, and not to mention the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel premiering May 5, 2017.For the xXx sequel, Diesel will come out of “self-imposed exile,” reported Entertainment Weekly. Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role of National Security Agency (NSA) agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons, said Cage was killed. EW also reported Cage will face a foe named Xiang as he tries to get a weapon named “Pandora’s Box” in order to save the world. Same ish different day.
The film will encompass a series of newcomers like Nina Dobrev and Orange Is the New Black’s Ruby Rose. Diesel’s been posting behind-the-scenes photos of xXx and you best believe his iconic fur coat is returning.
xXx: The Return of Xander Cage will premiere Jan. 20, 2017.
